Molded timing belts are made using a thermoset molding technique. The high-grade polyurethane is mixed with graded steel cords to provide abrasion and shear resistance, high strength, and traction resistance. Moulded timing belts are constructed with a limited tolerance range, which ensures consistent length and thickness and dimensional stability.
Open end length timing belts are made of thermoplastic polyurethane, which provides excellent wear and abrasion resistance. Various grades of steel cords provide good running qualities even at high tractive efforts.
